| Company History and
Background Terrence Byrne originally established Byrne Engineering in 1969, beginning the manufacturing and production tasks in the small industrial suburb of Hornsby. 1991 saw the company relocate to a new and much larger factory up on the Central Coast. A change of ownership took place 1995. Today, Byrne Engineering currently employs approximately 15 people including managing directors, apprentice positions, tradesmen, and office administrators. Diversification The issue of diversifying services came about when the Managing Directors of Byrne Engineering realised the potential growth and benefits available from the niche market of goods such as incinerators. With numerous inquiries over the years to produce and manufacture such products Byrne Engineering expanded its services and product range. A licensing agreement with Universal Machinery and Services (Leeds, England) enables Byrne Engineering to have the exclusive rights to represent any Universal Machinery and Services products within Australia and the Pacific Islands under the business name Universal Incinerators (AUST). The benefits of diversification have proven to be plentiful with a large number of clients located in Fiji, Vanuatu, Australia and many other small islands of Micronesia. As the Pacific Islands are still developing, Byrne Engineering continues to receive jobs from Commissions and Aid corporations who seek to improve the quality of life in these countries. These organizations and their purpose to help others are seen as future opportunities for work in the pacific region. |
